TORTURE: AMERICA’S BRUTAL PRISONS takes us inside correctional facilities in Texas, Florida and California, revealing a culture that is focused on retribution, with prisons designed to punish, as opposed to rehabilitate, the incarcerated.
The video portrays multiple methods of prison punishment brutalizing prisoners with beatings, pepper spray, tasers and even dogs, as well as firsthand accounts of formerly incarcerated people subjected to these torturous conditions.
This 50-minute documentary serves as a rude awakening (or stark reminder) of the widespread agonizing conditions and treatment to which so many people held in the U.S. prison are subjected.
